HourVault

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 31, 2026. Hour Vault is made by Redbrook Labs.

The short version. Your logbook stays on your device. Redbrook Labs runs no server for Hour Vault and never sees your hours. The free plan shows non-personalized banner ads.

What you add to the app

Hours, categories, job sites, notes, supervisor names and signatures you enter are stored on your device. If you buy Hour Vault Pro and turn on iCloud sync, they sync through your own private iCloud database, which Redbrook Labs cannot read. Exports (PDF, CSV, backup files) are created only when you choose to share or save them.

Signing in with Apple

Signing in is optional and only fills in your name inside the app. The sign-in result is kept in your device's Keychain. Nothing is sent to Redbrook Labs.

Requirements data

Once a day the app downloads the published list of state apprenticeship requirements from GitHub Pages. That request contains no information about you or your logbook.

Ads

The free plan shows banner ads from Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads, and the app does not track you across other apps and websites (there is no tracking prompt). AdMob may collect device identifiers, coarse usage and diagnostics to serve and measure ads. See Google's ads policy. Hour Vault Pro removes ads.

Purchases

The Pro purchase is handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details.

Analytics

Hour Vault contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Apple may share aggregate download and crash statistics with us if you opted in to share them with developers.

Children

Hour Vault is a tool for working apprentices and is not directed at children.

Deleting your data

Settings › Data › Delete all data erases everything in the app. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device. iCloud copies (Pro) can be removed in your device's iCloud settings.
